FIRST QUALITY OF THE SOUND: DURATION
The duration of a note is how long the note lasts (is played for).

There are two main ways to do that:
Dot (puntillo): it increases the value of each note or rest by half.
Tie
(ligadura):
it
links
two
or
more
notes
that
sound
the
same
combining
their
lengths.
